About the Chef : Chef Dez Lo, born in Hong Kong and raised in Taiwan, worked in finance in New York City before switching her career to cooking. She honed her skills and climbed the culinary ladder at many top New York restaurants before moving to Vancouver, Canada in 2016. She worked at Cincin Restaurant and Old Bird as its opening chef until the pandemic when she became a fishmonger at Fresh Ideas Start Here, a Vancouver-based seafood. Chef Dez competed on season 10 of Top Chef Canada and finished as runner-up. She is currently working as a private chef and started her own company, Just Roll With It, which features her famous cheese biscuits that earned her raved reviews during the competition.
