About Ocean Week Campbell River

Ocean Week Campbell River (OWCR) aims to benefit the community by increasing awareness of local marine ecosystems, our close ties to the ocean, and the importance of conservation. The series of community  events provide educational resources, empowering informed decisions to be good citizens of the Coast.

OWCR respectfully acknowledges the Liǧʷiɫdax̌ʷ People, We Wai Kai, Wei Wai Kum and Kweekah, on whose traditional lands and sea we work and play. We also recognize our close neighbours the Coast Salish Homolco, Klahoose, and K’ómoks First Nations. All of these nations have close connections, both past and present, to the ocean.
