11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. — International Trails Day Hike and Beach Cleanup Evan Lackey (Trans Canada Trail) and Chris Woodford (NS Walks) attending.
11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. — Nutritional Break Water, fruit, and granola bars are free. Iona Port Café will be open for other purchases.
Youth Day | In association with Bras d’Or Watch | All Day Organized and presented by the Youth Leadership Circle
10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. — Music and Culture Presentations Youth voices from Mi’kmaw, Gaelic, and mixed-heritage backgrounds sharing stories, songs, and knowledge of the Bras d’Or.
12:00–2:00 p.m. — Youth Market Youth-led vendors, crafts, and community products at the Port of Iona.
2:00–5:00 p.m. — Regular Market Vendors of all ages.
Ocean Technology and Exploration | 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. — BlueROV2 Live Underwater Demonstration Live underwater demonstration in the Barra Strait.
11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. — “MATADOR” Showcase, presented by Dalhousie University Personal watercraft-based ocean sampling system developed by Dalhousie University.
11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. — Gillis Seafoods Mussels are first come, first served.
Highland Fare Day | Baile nan Gàidheal
11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. — Biadh is Baile | Highland Fare Day Join us at Baile nan Gàidheal | Highland Village to hear stories of the ocean, tall tales of fishing, and enjoy a taste of traditional Highland fare with fish cakes. General admission applies.
Evening Program
3:00–6:00 p.m. — Ceilidh at Frolic’n Folk Pub Jordi Martin, Kyle LeVesconte, Kaj Udby, John Angus MacNeil, and Luke Boudreau.
