Xet’olacw Community School Water Testing

May 21st
Mount Currie, British Columbia

As part of Ocean Week Canada, Water Rangers’ Praise Osifo will be visiting Lil’wat to lead a hands-on workshop on water quality testing. This educational visit is a collaboration with the Title and Rights department and will blend scientific learning with cultural teachings about our shared responsibility to care for water.

Praise will guide students through water testing activities using the Education Testkit, allowing the class to break into small groups for a more interactive and engaging experience. Alongside learning how to test water, students will explore the deeper connections between land, water, and culture.

This school-based session will be followed by a broader community workshop on May 22, 2025.
