Join us on June 8th – World Ocean Day to celebrate our ocean playground! Ocean Week Halifax is hosting a fun-filled community celebration at the Cunard Public Space on the Halifax waterfront.

World Ocean Day is an internationally recognized event, and Halifax’s celebrations are part of a global effort to promote ocean knowledge, connection, conservation, and sustainable use of marine resources. The event aims to increase understanding of the ocean’s role in our lives and inspire actions to protect it for future generations.

This free, family-friendly event is open to all ages and will feature a variety of engaging activities and exhibits from ocean partner organizations. Explore interactive booths, try your hand at ocean-themed crafts and games, and marvel at the “Ocean, Freshwater, and Us” giant floor map of Canada.

Discover the wonders of the ocean and learn how you can get involved in protecting this vital resource. With something for everyone, this is the perfect way to celebrate World Ocean Day and connect with your community.
