The Umingmak Frolics is a longtime Tradition for Iqaluktutiak, a celebration of spring and being together as friends, family, and community.
The Canadian Ocean Literacy Coalition provided an Ocean Week Canada grant to support this year’s festival, including an elders lunch with local chef Andy Poisson, as well as ocean/sea ice-themed children’s activities.
