The Future of Water

June 3rd - June 7th
Etobicoke, Ontario

For the month of June, our students are focused on the sustainability & life of Canadian waters. We are focusing on:

  • conservation
  • plastics – microplastics – garbage patch
  • layers of the ocean
  • rocks, geology, glaciers
  • tides & the moon
  • currents & weather systems
  • buoyency – salt water vs plain water
  • water systems
  • salt water desalination

We frequently take trips of to the Humber River & Lake Ontario during our inquiry-based units and we will expand the unit for Ocean Week Canada to include water monitoring with Water Rangers equipment. Our older school will create a water sustainability project based on their findings & open it up as an event for parents & students.
