Rivers to Oceans Day (R2O) 2025

June 11th
Yellowknife, Northwest Territories

Ecology North’s Rivers to Oceans Day is all about bringing students closer to water ecosystems and conservation in a fun, hands-on way. This year, we’re expanding the event to reach even more students, offering both big and smaller “Mini-R2O” events to make it easy for everyone to participate.

Students in grades 1 and 5 will explore interactive stations on topics like watersheds, aquatic wildlife, water safety, and climate change. Teachers will also receive tools to bring water science into their classrooms beyond the event. Whether in the city or further out, we’ll ensure transportation and accessibility for all schools.
