Paddle 4 Pacific is a unique peer-to-peer fundraising event organized by the Pacific Peoples’ Partnership that invites participants to engage in paddling activities like kayaking, canoeing, or stand-up paddle boarding to raise funds and awareness for Indigenous and Pacific Islander communities. Participants set personal or team goals to raise money based on the distance they paddle, sharing their journey through personalized fundraising pages. We suggest a fun target of raising $20 for every km paddled, though all levels of participation are encouraged and welcomed.
Paddle 4 Pacific is more than just a paddling event, it is a movement to preserve Pacific cultures, empower women, and promote sustainability. The funds raised have tangible impacts, from revitalizing traditional arts, to supporting community resilience and fostering cross-cultural understanding. To allocate this year’s funds, we will be partnering with South Pacific Islands and Indigenous communities on projects addressing sustainability, climate change, and cultural preservation. By participating, donors and paddlers support Indigenous-led development in the Pacific.
