Drop by the Oceanside Gallery at the McMillan Arts Centre on Sunday June 4th between 12-3pm for this family friendly event!

Visual artist Natasha van Netten will be on site to share about her solo exhibition, Southern Residents, and will be facilitating an afternoon of creative fun. She has designed special Southern Resident orca themed bookmarks that will be available to colour in the gallery. Everyone is welcome to this free event!

Artist Bio:

Natasha received a Diploma of Fine Art from the Vancouver Island School of Art in 2016 and has been awarded the Robin Hopper Legacy Award (Victoria Visual Arts Legacy Society), an Award of Excellence (Sooke Fine Art Show) and was shortlisted for the 2021 Wildlife Artist of the Year Award (Sketch for Survival) in London, UK. She has been invited to write several articles for the BC Art Teachers Association Journal and has participated in three international artist-in-residency programs. Natasha’s work has been exhibited in Canada, the Czech Republic, Iceland, Finland, New Zealand, Norway, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States.
