Ocean Wise is teaming up with the Discovery Centre to bring you an immersive marine planetarium experience on the Halifax waterfront for the entire Ocean Week weekend!
From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday 8 June and Sunday 9 June, a team of expert Ocean Wise educators will guide participants through 360-degree 4K images of underwater ecosystems featuring sea lions, octopuses, orcas and much more! A collection of marine artefacts, such as a powerful shark jaw, sturdy sea turtle shell and plush Arctic fox fur, is sure to fascinate.
Participants will also be encouraged to explore the Discovery Centre’s Oceans Gallery to continue their learning about climate change and marine organisms. You’ll be encouraged to think about the links between different ocean animals and how our actions can benefit their habitats!
