In celebration of Ocean Week Halifax and World Oceans Day, you are invited to join us on Thursday, June 4 from 4:30–6:30 PM for an engaging conversation on human-generated ocean noise. Bringing together experts in underwater noise and marine science, this interactive session will explore how sound interacts with the marine environments, the ways that researchers are working to better understand it, and how governments are managing this important issue. Moderated by Ocean Sonics, the discussion will highlight current research and the measures being taken to better understand, regulate, and ultimately reduce this invisible pollutant.
