Marée Noire: When Art Dances with the Ocean is an interdisciplinary event combining art, science, and community engagement to raise awareness about the preciousness of the St. Lawrence River.
On the program: a symbolic participatory walk to the Vigie in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, followed by a talk at 7:30 p.m. by biologist Lyne Morissette, a screening of the film Marée Noire by Chantal Caron and Fleuve | Espace Danse, a media art installation, and a discussion between artists, scientists, and citizens.
Art and science come together to stir emotion, spark reflection, and inspire action in the face of marine environmental challenges.
