Meet the Artists:
Julia Tetford
Julia is a local artist who discovered her passion for landscape painting during the pandemic. Her love for outdoor activities like hiking and paddle boarding provides her with a natural source of inspiration. While pursuing her Bachelor of Science at Dalhousie, she discovered plein air painting, among other artistic styles. After graduating in 2024, she and her dad built an art studio/woodshop together. Now, while working part-time as a waitress, she dedicates her days off to experimenting with various mediums, including acrylic, gouache, and watercolor, in her studio.
Emily MacIsaac
Emily is a local artist who has been creating art for as long as she can remember, playing with various mediums and styles. While completing her bachelor’s of kinesiology in Fredericton, NB, she used art and nature as an escape to unwind and de-stress. Now, since moving back to Saint John, she has begun to take her art more seriously, which has given her a newfound motivation to create in her free time. Primarily, she works with gouache and acrylic to paint local landscapes and wildlife, but she also enjoys experimenting with other styles such as plein air, collage and graphic art pieces.
