This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Gully Marine Protected Area!
The Gully was the first deep sea marine protected area that specifically protects corals and sponges and the first under our Oceans Act.
The Gully is a vast underwater canyon, home to a diverse range of wildlife, including the rare bottlenose whale. This underwater gem has served as a sanctuary for marine life and a fortress for biodiversity. Here’s to many more years of preserving the beauty and wonder of this extraordinary cavern.
