Flagship World Oceans Day Event Newfoundland and Labrador

Ocean Week St. John's

Fisheries and Oceans Canada in partnership with Parks Canada, provincial government, World Wildlife Fund Canada, Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society-NL Chapter, and the Marine Institute will host a free public event in celebration of World Oceans Day!

There will be attractions for all ages: folks could touch a sea cucumber or pilot an underwater remotely operated vehicle; explore a fisheries patrol boat or listen to the sounds of whales communicating.

There will be tattoos and crafts, and folks even learn to split a fish and age a seal… there will be lots to see and do for all ages and it’s free for the whole family!
