The Grade 8A class and elementary Eco Action Team at Eenchokay Birchstick School will be researching issues related to water locally, on reserves, and global water issues. We will also be adding in their previous research of microplastics. This research will result in research projects posters. Using Water Rangers equipment, we will test the water in a local stream near the school, the school tap water, and our clean drinking water multiple times per week. We will track our findings and create graphs and charts with our data. We will also create projects to teach other students, staff, and families about what WE can all do to support our water locally and globally. This will be displayed through presentations at our Water Week event in June in the school lobby. This event will be open to the whole school (K-12) to learn from! We will also be handing out student designed prizes of magnets and stickers to anyone who attends our event! We will also be having challenges throughout the week along with displays of large-scale artwork relating to water conservation.
