The Ocean Education Celebration highlights a strong community partnership deeply rooted in holistic learning principles that emphasize our interconnectedness with the “great global ocean” and our shared responsibility to care for it.

This event marks the culmination of an experiential learning journey during which students reflected on how their daily actions are connected to ocean health, the diverse cultural roles in protecting the marine environment, and avenues for collective action.

We invite everyone in the region to come and discover the giant floor map “The Ocean, Freshwater, and Us” and talk directly with teachers, students, and the facilitator from the Canadian Ocean Knowledge Coalition about their transformative and inspiring experiences with blue education.
