By 2042, approximately 4 million residents will rely on our supply of drinking water. Using water wisely now will help us ensure that we have enough water for future generations.
We are updating the Drinking Water Management Plan. The plan is the guiding document for Metro Vancouver’s drinking water utility. It outlines priorities and will set the strategic direction for drinking water initiatives over the next 10 years.
This is the first of three phases of engagement. This survey asks you about your values, interests, and priorities for how we manage drinking water in our region, now and in the future.
Metro Vancouver is committed to engaging individuals and organizations who may be impacted by or have an interest in the plan update. This engagement will allow Metro Vancouver and member jurisdictions to better understand impacts and opportunities for water system upgrades, climate change impacts, seismic resiliency, and population growth.
