This panel discussion is tailored for high school students, offering insights into diverse ocean-related careers to enhance their understanding of marine industries. The event aims to foster a strong ethic of care for the ocean by showcasing the significance of marine ecosystems. Experts from various fields, such as marine biology, oceanography, sustainable fisheries, and marine conservation, will share their experiences and knowledge. The discussion will emphasize the importance of individual and collective actions in supporting ocean health, encouraging students to engage in activities that contribute to the preservation and sustainability of our oceans. The event will have two sessions:
- North Nova Education Centre (AM session from 10:25 to 11:40)
- Northumberland Regional High School (PM session from 1:55 to 3:10) –> students from Pictou will be bussed to the PM session
