June 8th 2022 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Vancouver, New Brunswick

Water lovers unite! On June 8th, we invite you to join us at the Clean Water Kickoff! Swim Drink Fish is hosting events in Vancouver, Kingston and Toronto to celebrate the launch of our 2021 Hub monitoring reports, and talk about all things water stewardship, connection, and protection.

In Vancouver, join us to celebrate both the proclamation of the Year of the Salish Sea and the launch of the Swim Drink Fish 2021 Water Monitoring Report.

Swim Drink Fish is thrilled to be hosting various water organizations from across Vancouver for a clean water celebration and kickoff the Year of the Salish Sea! Check out the amazing work from groups like False Creek Friends, True or False Creek, Year of the Salish Sea, and Swim Drink Fish. Learn about clean water initiatives from diverse groups working to protect our waters.

Oceanwise seafood, vegan snacks, and salmon safe wine will be provided.

Event is open from 6-9pm in Multipurpose Room 4 of Creekside Community Centre.

About the organizers:

The Year of the Salish Sea (YoSS) is a youth-led initiative that aims to bring together local First Nations, municipalities, organizations, and individuals in the Salish Sea ecosystem region to strengthen existing efforts working towards a healthy Salish Sea from June 8 2022 – June 7 2023. At its heart is a belief in collective action and love for the Salish Sea ecosystem.

Swim Drink Fish is a Canadian charity connecting people with water. We use community science and communications technology to inspire people to know and safeguard their local waters. Our apps and programs can help you get to the water’s edge. They connect people with the water and with other people. We teach how to monitor the health of your water. SDF works to protect everyone’s right to swimmable, drinkable, fishable water.
