Join the UM Indigenous Birding Club for a relaxed, 1.5-hour birding walk beginning at Migizii Agamik (Bald Eagle Lodge). Participants gather at 11:20 a.m. by the Louis Riel statue, with the walk starting promptly at 11:30. The walk heads to King’s Park, or another nearby location, at a leisurely pace to enjoy feathered relatives in the green spaces on and near campus.
These walks are open to BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour) folks and allies who share the belief that birding is for everyone, regardless of experience. Whether you’re new to birding or a seasoned enthusiast, all are welcome. Dress for the weather and bring sunscreen and water. Binoculars are available to borrow if you don’t have your own.
