Baccaro Point Ocean Week Clean Up with the Scotian Shores Clean Up Project

Join the Ocean Warriors, volunteers and many local seafood harvesters for a HUGE shoreline clean up. We have a goal of removing OVER 100 old, lost lobster traps! Over many decades these traps have been beat ashore by the unforgiving waves and pushed over the cobblestone berms. If lobster traps seem a bit big for your litter picking style, don’t worry!!! There is LOTS of other debris here.

Meet us at the picturesque Baccaro Lighthouse to sign in and get your supplies. The locals have lots of ATVs, side by sides, trucks and trailers to help haul the debris away. We just need LOTS of helpers to lend a hand.

If you are unable to assist on the shoreline, we would love your help with administrative duties, waste diversion and data collection. Or… maybe bake some cookies to share with the crew. ALL ARE WELCOME
