June 1st - June 9th
Virtual

Join us by organizing a fun Canoe Scavenger Hunt as a way to take part in Ocean Week Canada!

Our freshwaters play an important role in our ocean health, and we encourage you to get out and enjoy freshwater.

Canoe (can you) find all of these items on a local lake, ocean or river? If you can’t get out in canoe/kayak/boat, you can still take part by hiking along your waterbody and looking for these items.

Steps

  1. Plan to head out on your own canoe ride with family and friends anytime between June 2 and 11th. If you don’t have access to a boat, we encourage you to plan a hike along a local waterway.
  2. Find a safe and suitable body of water to launch your canoe.
  3. Ensure you have all the necessary safety equipment – see here for more info
  4. Head out with your scavenger list.
  5. Post a selfie with the hashtags #waterrangers #oceanweekcan to be entered into our prize draw (for t-shirts, hats, and testkits from Ocean Week and Water Rangers). Entries will be accepted until June 11.

Étapes

Scavenger hunt list will be emailed to you in your registration confirmation email.
