From coast to coast, our waterways connect us. This summer, Jeunesse Maritime du Saint-Laurent is proud to amplify the voices of the next generation with the official launch of its brand-new podcast series: Génération Saint-Laurent.
After dedicating a series to the St. Lawrence’s endangered species, this second season gives high school students along the river free rein to explore our connection to this unique ecosystem, understand its challenges, and highlight concrete solutions to protect it.
First stop: Rimouski! To kick things off, dive into the pilot episode recorded during the 24 Hours of Science event with students from Paul-Hubert School. Titled “Micro ouvert sur la pollution plastique”, this episode features a captivating interview where the students question researcher Lyne Morissette and discuss inspiring grassroots actions that are making a difference for the future.
Follow us throughout the season to discover how Quebec’s youth are taking ownership of their river, from the estuary to the open ocean. Because protecting the ocean starts here, on our shores.
