The North Delta Girl Guides are organizing a shoreline clean-up community event and an ocean exploration event while looking into water quality! With Water Rangers testkits they will look more analytically at the water in our local communities and compare results between multiple sites. Our unit leaders have been working every year to put on an Ocean Smart Event (last year we did one on microplastics in our oceans and lakes). We have also hosted Oceanwise to talking about the ecology and balance of our Water systems. Looking more at the quality of our waterways will extend their appreciation and understanding even further!
