Join us on Thursday, May 11 for a free screening of three short films about ecological stewardship and the future of the Salish Sea. The event will include a panel Q&A discussion with Courtney Smaha and Adam Taylor from Uncharted Waters.

Fellowship of the Sea
Directed by Flossy Roxx
A group of folks living on a small island whose love of the cold ocean water swimming has created a deep and connected bond. Filmed over a year from World Ocean 2021 to 2022, through the ecological effects of climate change, we follow the story of the Seals and their special relationships, past, present and future, with the ocean on their 20th anniversary of ocean swimming.

Lifeblood
Directed by Jennifer Moslemi and Marita Davison
A short documentary film that explores how four groups of people – anglers, Indigenous groups, farmers and scientists – are moving beyond mistrust to work together for a better future in the Pacific Northwest.

Uncharted Waters
Directed by Molly Dennis
Four young people with diverse connections to Howe Sound/ Atl’ka7tsem confront an uncertain future. United by an innovative, community-led mapping project, can they work together to protect their home?
