Ocean WiseThe Howe Sound Biosphere Region Initiative and Blue Mar 4 Change have teamed up to celebrate UN World Oceans Day with a FREE online event for classrooms and families.

On June 8 join us live on Zoom for a FREE interactive program featuring the unique biodiversity of Howe Sound.*

  • Description: ‘How can underwater forests of kelp help you? How can the smallest of life support the largest? Explore the beauty and wonder of Átl’ka7tsem/Howe Sound and how your actions can make a difference.’

In the weeks leading up to the event we invite you to dive into the Ocean Watch Education Kit: Átl’ḵa7tsem – Txwnéwu7ts Howe Sound Edition and explore how ecosystems, species, human impacts and climate change interact and are interconnected is essential for youth to make informed decisions as stewards of our planet.
