Did you know that even though we’re inland in Ottawa, our water ways are connected to the ocean?
Join Water Rangers in learning how to test water and learn about how we can protect our waterways! This family-friendly event will gather at Brewer Park Pond for a walk to the Rideau River where you’ll learn how to test for temperature, conductivity, clarity, oxygen, pH, alkalinity, and hardness. Then we’ll learn about local restoration efforts by the local conservation authority, the mixture of culture and environmentalism in this special space, and give back by conducting a shoreline cleanup!
All are welcome to this free event.
Please note, this is an offleash dog-friendly park.
See you by the water!
To get there: Park at the Brewer Park Pond parking lot. We will meet at the far end (see this pin on google maps) at 10am on Sunday, June 4th.
