Did you know that even though we’re inland in Toronto, our waterways are connected to the ocean?
Join Water Rangers in learning how to test water and discover how we can protect our waterways! This mid-day excursion is a part of the Confluence workshop on community-driven water monitoring and is open to the public. Participants of the workshop will be taking the streetcar to Toronto’s waterfront and we’ll all convene as a group at the Harbourfront Canoe & Kayak Centre. There, you’ll learn how to test for temperature, conductivity, clarity, oxygen, pH, alkalinity, and hardness. Then you’ll learn about local restoration efforts by the local conservation groups and how you can help!
All are welcome to join this free event.
See you by the water!
