Shoreline Cleanup | Organisation Bleue | Verdun-sur-Fleuve Festival – 3rd Edition | Summer 2025

Semaine de l'océan Qc

June 8th 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Verdun, Quebec

This event is part of the 3rd edition of the Verdun-sur-Fleuve Festival, organized by Demain Verdun.

Join this community gathering focused on care and love for nature. Together, let’s ensure that plastic waste, cigarette butts, and other litter from our neighbourhood don’t make their way to the river and ocean! Organisation Bleue will carry out a waste characterization, and snacks will be provided for volunteers.

ORGANISATION BLEUE is a Quebec-based nonprofit that promotes the preservation and conservation of our blue planet. Their vision centres around meaningful experiences where every member of an ecosystem can play a role and take concrete action to protect the river and its tributaries. FESTIVAL VISION | Verdun-sur-Fleuve is a time to come together and celebrate the great river that borders our neighbourhood and island city. More than just a neighbour, the river shapes our landscape and serves as a vital connector for the Verdun and Greater Southwest Montreal communities—and for all of Quebec, as it flows toward the ocean. The river becomes a way to talk about our identity, our future, how we live together, the species we share the city with, how we interact with the river, and our human responsibility to protect the environment.
