Sea Squirts & Marine Biologists in Training

July 4th 2022 - August 5th 2022
Vancouver, British Columbia

This week-long day camp at the beach provides girls with the opportunity to learn what it’s like to be a marine biologist! At Sea Squirts camp, girls will learn hands-on science skills to explore our shorelines and learn about the cool critters that live in our oceans. Campers will continue their scientist journey by conducting research projects and attend potential field trips when possible. Even more, a female professional scientist will speak at each camp to share their exciting journey into the world of science.

Sea Squirts camp may include activities such as:
– Identifying intertidal animals
– Exploring the biodiversity of life using scientific sampling techniques
– Crab and seaweed experiments

This summer camp will build girls’ confidence and curiosity in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) and inspire and empower girls to become environmental leaders and scientists!
