Ocean Literacy in Esgenoôpetitj First Nation

The Esgenoôpetitj Watershed Association is hosting the Ocean Literacy Event in Esgenoôpetitj First Nation on World Ocean’s Day – June 8th from 1-5pm.

The Ocean Literacy Event in Esgenoopetitj First Nations main goal is to spread awareness on the importance of the Ocean and our spiritual connection to the lands and waters of Mother Earth through this workshop. There will be hands-on activities and booths from each group to learn the importance of our ocean and ways to help protect it. We will also have door prizes and free BBQ foods and drinks. There will also be arts and crafts for the little ones.

  • Esgenoopetitj Watershed Association (EWA)
  • Tabusintac Watershed Association (TWA)
  • Canadian Parks And Wilderness Society (CPAWS)
  • Marine Animal Response Society (MARS)
  • Healthy Coast Team- Nature NB & Nature Trust NB
  • Miramichi River Environmental Assessment Committee (MREAC)
  • Ingenium: Canada Science and Technology Museum
