Join us on June 8 at the Canadian Museum of Nature’s Water Gallery in celebration of Ocean Day!
Come observe our live sea creatures in our Pacific Discovery Tank, discover how we conserve deep ocean and freshwater biodiversity from around the globe, and meet a group of researchers from the Canadian Museum of Nature, the American Fisheries Society – Ontario Chapter, Carleton University, and the University of Toronto who are currently working together on protecting migratory fishes from the Ottawa River all the way to the Ocean.
Be sure to also check out Critical Distance, a one-week only public exhibition at the Museum, supported by the Canadian Ocean Literacy Coalition Blue Creators Grant during Ocean Week Canada 2024 (June 1-9). Here, you’ll get to interact virtually with a pod of Southern Resident orcas using augmented reality headsets, witness the impact of aquatic noise pollution, and meet with conservationists from the British Columbia Gulf Islands who will be on-site to discuss their research and answer your questions. More details here.
The above experiences are included with your museum admission.
We look forward to seeing you there! Buy your ticket now!
