łəx̣ʷtete he qʷuʔ (Let the water run)

June 13th 2024
Merritt, British Columbia

This event is a ceremony for our water. Water is life and throughout the area, we are experiencing drought conditions. We will hold a water ceremony, which is intended to pray for our waters (qʷuʔ). We will be actively moving alongside the river, praying, and teaching our youth the values of the water. In teaching the values, we will show the youth how to test the water with Water Rangers equipment.
