Kitsilano Beach Cleanup with Surfrider

September 10th 2022 10:30 AM - 2:30 PM
Vancouver, British Columbia

Did you know that the majority of the waste found on Vancouver beaches is made up of items like cigarette butts, bottle caps and food wrappers? Many of these items are made from plastic and designed to be used just once and then thrown away. Whether plastic is intended to be recycled or sent to landfills the sad truth is that hundreds of thousands of tonnes of it end up in our environments every year – but it doesn’t have to be this way!

On September 10th, Surfrider Foundation Vancouver will be cleaning up and sorting the waste collected on Kits beach, and we need your help! Our cleanups are a fun and easy way to get involved and give back.
