Imagine the Ocean is taking place at KidSpark at the Harbourfront Centre, the Ontario Science Centre’s popular learn-through-play experience for kids 10 and under. Supported by the Blue Creators Grant from the Centre for Ocean Literacy Collaboration, Imagine the Ocean is an interactive, modular program that invites children and the adults with them on a journey of discovery through maps, exploring how people over time have told the story of the ocean.
From creating their own maps of the ocean to poring over ancient maps of the world to delighting in the latest digital maps of the planet that show how carbon in the atmosphere is affecting the marine sphere, children will experience the changing stories of what the ocean means and become inspired to go on their own journey of ocean discovery.
The event runs from 10am to 12pm on June 4th and 5th!
