Join the Bay of Islands Beach Clean-Up and Community Art Project!
Be part of a transformative community event at Cedar Cove or an adjacent beach! We’re bringing together residents of the Bay of Islands for a beach clean-up followed by a traditional community “boil-up.” Help us inventory and categorize plastic waste, which will then be used in a unique community art installation for Oceans Day in Corner Brook.
All members of the Bay of Islands communities are invited!
We will meet at Little Port at 1pm, and hike to Cedar Cove for the clean-up.
Following the art installation, join us for an opening reception where we’ll discuss the project, showcase the artwork, and provide an educational demonstration on identifying plastic materials. The artwork, whether a suspended fish sculpture or a wall-based piece, will be available for public viewing and will highlight the importance of recycling and sustainability.
Together, we can clean up our beaches, create inspiring art, and educate our community on the importance of protecting our oceans. Join us for this exciting and impactful event!
