Outdoor exhibition!

Semaine de l’océan Québec 2024 is proud to add the outdoor exhibition Pointe-de-l’île, Community of Possibilities to its programme. Available at all times during our outdoor festivities, this photographic exhibition, created by L’Idylle arts vivants, paints a portrait of the socio-ecological transition of Pointe de l’Île. This series of photographs is the fruit of artist Alex Côté’s encounters with numerous communities and individuals involved in initiatives that have been or are being carried out in Pointe-aux-Trembles and Montreal East.

Prairie artist Alex Côté’s multidisciplinary process, rooted locally and based on the stories of citizens, highlights the interdependence of a variety of local actions in the spheres of community development, local industries, mobility and urban agriculture, among others.
