écH2osystème is a maritime acrobatic research-creation project on the St. Lawrence. Led by Geneviève Dupéré, this project makes this ecosystem resonate through the echoes of more than 300 collaborators from the marine science and freshwater sectors, fishing and the maritime and port industry.
To cross from the river to the stage, the O of écH2osystème is hooked to a crane, above the St. Lawrence. The O is an oversized maritime acrobatical apparatus, operated by two circus artists.
During the summer of 2023, a serie of 3 work periods will allow us to co-create scenes that will be part of a show in 2024. This adventure of research, co-creation, science, acrobatics, ecology and water, has been evolving since 2017 to seek, through circus arts, what connects us to this ecosystem, omnipresent in our lives and in our societies.
