Classrooms to Communities: Reconnecting Ourselves with Landscapes, Waterways and Each Other

The two-day program begins on Friday, Oct 21 with an inspiring plenary featuring ‘The Heart of a River’ read by Shelly Boyd in traditional nsyilxcen language, Shelly will be supported in storytelling by Indigenous and local youth. Enjoy a chat with author Eileen Delehanty Pearkes followed by perspectives and a dance performance by local youth leaders. Three sets of concurrent workshops will then unfold, with over 40 engaging sessions led by extraordinary leaders from across B.C.
