This event is part of the Blitz the Gap 2025 initiative and is an official iNaturalist BioBlitz. The goal is to help fill biodiversity data gaps across Canada by encouraging participants to contribute observations from under-sampled regions like New Brunswick.
All observations uploaded to iNaturalist on June 6 at the Fundy Trail will be eligible.
Prizes will be awarded to participants with the most observations recorded within a 24-hour period. These contributions directly support conservation planning efforts by improving our understanding of species distribution in the region.
Physical Accessibility:
This event takes place outdoors on trails. Participants should be prepared for hiking and variable outdoor conditions.
Virtual Component:
Use of the iNaturalist app on a mobile device is required to participate. All observations must be uploaded digitally.
