Ocean Wise’s mobile programs bring the ocean to schools and communities across Canada. Our flagship of mobile programs, the AquaVan, features marine artifacts, hands-on interactive activities, and our Aqua pod, a six-metre immersive dome that shows 360-degree ocean conservation video. Our aim is to inspire and empower youth to protect and restore the ocean. Our educators deliver multi-sensory programs that have a direct connection to the three cross-cutting threats Ocean Wise has identified as critical to ocean health: Climate Change, Plastics and Pollution, and Overfishing. The summer tour will begin in late May and wrap up in late August. Ocean Wise has partnered with TakingITGlobal and GreenLearning through Waves of Change, a Canadian bilingual project (English/French) that is delivering climate change educational opportunities in every province and territory, in both urban and rural settings. This project is undertaken with the financial support of the Government of Canada.
