High Seas Treaty

The High Seas Treaty seeks to address this by establishing the world’s first international law to protect marine life in areas beyond national jurisdiction, and Canada has yet to ratify this treaty.

Stop Plastic Pollution

Canada and other countries are in negotiations for an international treaty to regulate global plastic production, but the agreement is not yet finalized.
