Join us for the second transatlantic webiMER in the “Océans et santé” series from the Institut France-Québec Maritime (IFQM)!
Our next event will focus on the health of seafarers—an issue that remains all too often overlooked, yet is central to the daily lives of maritime communities.
Whether in fishing or long-haul shipping, the seafaring profession is recognized as one of the most demanding in terms of physical and mental health. Social isolation, irregular schedules, noise, vibrations, irregular sleep patterns, fatigue, stress, and sometimes precarious safety conditions are among the many realities that can affect seafarers’ well-being.
How can we better understand these issues?
How can we recognize the risks to mental health?
What measures can be implemented to better support maritime communities?

This webinar will feature a discussion between France and Quebec to explore these issues and spark a conversation on ways to sustainably improve the well-being of seafarers.
