We are pleased to announce that we are once again organizing the Notre-Dame-des-Laurentides Fishing Festival for the 2026 edition.

Since 2023, we have been working to raise public awareness about keeping the Yellow River clean for the well-being of the speckled trout populations. This effort is paying off, as we see a marked decrease in the amount of trash accumulated along the riverbanks every time we hold a cleanup event. Thank you to everyone who takes the time to do small things to keep the river clean.

We look forward to seeing many of you on June 6 and 7 in Notre-Dame-des-Laurentides!

We will be offering the “Budding Angler” course again this year. All spots are filled for the 2026 edition. However, you can send us your contact information to be added to a waitlist in case of cancellations on the day of the event.

This year, BRIO / Loisirs Charlesbourg-Nord will be on-site to help run the event and promote their various activities and services offered to the Charlesbourg-Nord community.

Raphaël Lebailly—city councillor for Les Monts—will be on site at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026, to meet with residents and enjoy the event with us!

Here is the schedule for the 2026 Notre-Dame-des-Laurentides Fishing Festival

SATURDAY, June 6, 2026:
8:00 a.m.; Volunteers arrive, set up event equipment.
9:00 a.m.; Young participants in the “Budding Angler” program arrive, and the fishing lesson begins.
10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.; Hands-on fishing session for budding anglers in the river
11:00 a.m.; Fishing opens for all visitors
12:00 PM; Start of the hot dog BBQ sponsored by Boucherie Vic Verret.
12:30 PM; Visit by Pierre Paul-Hus, Member of Parliament for Charlesbourg-Haute-Saint-Charles (Times are subject to change)
12:30 PM; Visit by Mr. Sylvain Lévesque, Member of the National Assembly for Chauveau, (Times are subject to change)
2:00 PM; BBQ closes.
5:00 PM; End of Saturday’s events.

SUNDAY, June 7, 2026:
8:00 AM; Start of Sunday’s events.
12:00 PM: Hot dog BBQ begins.
2:00 PM: BBQ closes
3:00 PM: Raffles and door prize giveaway
5:00 PM: End of Sunday’s activities.

Once again this year, NESO Grill is lending us their modular BBQ, a concept unique in the world, designed and manufactured right here in Quebec. You’ll be able to get more information on-site during the hot dog BBQ.
