St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador
Seventy scientific experts from across Canada came to Newfoundland’s Great Northern Peninsula last July to explore its rare limestone landscapes and conduct a BioBlitz: a rapid survey of plants, animals, and fungi living there. Leah Robichaud shares how collections staff at The Rooms turn these discoveries into verifiable biodiversity data, creating a lasting record that supports research and conservation of this unique ecosystem.
Leah Robichaud is a Natural History Collections Management Assistant at The Rooms. She works behind the scenes to ensure information about Newfoundland’s biodiversity is available for researchers, conservationists, and future generations.
Tickets: $12 plus HST. Free for Rooms members. Get tickets online or by calling 709-757-8090.
