L’Alliance Pense: The Ocean and Us! Join the Alliance Française in Halifax for a discussion in French on the role of the oceans and the microscopic world on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., as part of Ocean Week Canada.
Through a discussion moderated by Simon Ferey, an Ocean Expert for France and Atlantic Canada at the Ocean Frontier Institute, with Julie Laroche, a researcher in marine biochemistry and microbial genomics at Dalhousie University, the event will offer a comparative perspective on global issues and scientific research conducted in Halifax. The goal? To better understand the vital role of the oceans today.
Join us in person on Friday, June 12, 2026 for a discussion on the role of the ocean in the context of climate change. Through a conversation between Simon Ferey, ocean expert at the Ocean Frontier Institute, and Julie Laroche, researcher at Dalhousie University, we will explore both global challenges and local scientific research in Halifax.
