Join The Explorers Club, Fjällräven, and the British Columbia Environmental Film Festival (BCEFF) in collaboration with Centre for Ocean Literacy Collaboration on Friday, June 5th, for the Toronto premiere of the award-winning documentary The Rewilders. Produced by Canadian Chapter Fellow Mark Angelo, the film follows pioneering conservationists across three continents who are working to rewild iconic species like jaguar, elephant, bison and Pacific salmon. The impact of their efforts is galvanizing a global movement, one species and one landscape at a time.
As scientists reveal, when animals return, ecosystems heal – storing more carbon, restoring resilience, and offering hope in the climate crisis. Visually spectacular and deeply human, The Rewilders is a call to action to let nature lead the way in saving our shared future.
The Rewilders, which has already won over a dozen awards at film festivals in 2026, will be introduced by filmmaker Pezhman Hadavi and oceanographer Jennifer Jackson, Co-Founders of the British Columbia Environmental Film Festival (BCEFF), a platform connecting film, science, and community through environmental storytelling.
