Ocean Week Halifax

May 30th 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Halifax, Nova Scotia

Dive into the start of Ocean Week Halifax with a day of community, conservation, and hands-on discovery! We are gathering at the historic Africville shores to celebrate our connection to the coast and take action for a healthier harbour.

Whether you’re looking to get your hands dirty for the environment or want to explore the microscopic world beneath the waves, there is something for every ocean lover.

Event Details:

  • Date: Saturday, May 30th

  • Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM (10am Club Dive Briefing)

  • Mermaid Dress-Up Station: Channel your inner sea spirit! Perfect for kids and the young at heart, stop by our station to transform into a mythical ocean dweller

  • Community Booths: Visit with local partners to learn more about marine science and stewardship

What to bring: Please wear sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate clothing. If you are participating in the shoreline cleanup, gloves and bags will be provided. If you plan to dive, bring your dive gear!
